How to Après in Steamboat Like a Local

After a long day skiing and carving your way through the mountains, it is finally time to wind down and find the perfect après ski location. While the mountains may have worn you out, you may still want to enjoy the chilly, snow-filled air. Skiers from all around steamboat look for the best après ski bars to enjoy a nice meal, live music, or bask in all Steamboat Springs has to offer. There are several different places you can visit that are just minutes away from your vacation rental. Here are a few of our favorite apres-ski bars and restaurants in Steamboat, Colorado.

If you’re looking for a spot to take the whole family this is a great option. Going to the pub and grill there’s room for the whole family with two bars and a large main dining room. For those of you interested in watching sports no worries there are 8 TVs Located throughout the bar so you won’t have to miss any of your favorite games. Enjoy the lighthearted, fun atmosphere after a chilly day on the slopes.

This quick-service restaurant is located in the base area offering hot soups and a cold beverage. Done outside and see skiers go by as you enjoy lunch or dinner. Last Tracks is located in the Torian Plum Plaza and it’s a great place to grab a beer on the go. Stop by for a nice meal, or grab a drink and go as you head to the slopes. Last tracks is the perfect place for a family dinner night after a long day.


Slopeside Grill is a family-friendly restaurant that serves lunch, happy hour, dinner, and even a late-night happy hour for those night owls. The large menu is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. They are located at the base of the ski slopes where they can be found from their legendary ice bar. Come and enjoy the talk of the town after a long day on the slopes.


Located at the base of steamboat springs thunderhead lift this popular après ski bar is known for its upbeat atmosphere. The late-night Crowd will love it here as they serve plenty of drinks and American cuisine while rocking out long after the sun has set. After a long day of sledding, skiing, or even biking, take a load off on the dance floor as you dance the night away.

Timber And Torch

Located at the base of the mountain, Timber and torch believe the view needs to be just as enticing as the food. Being at the base of the mountain provides some of the best entertainment and views around town. Grab a cocktail or enjoy the steamboat version of Dining al fresco as they roll up the doors and bring the outdoors inside. Walk-in fresh off the slopes, or come one day before you go. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.


The truffle pig features casual American alpine cuisine that is crafted from the freshest ingredients. Between their inviting atmosphere, scenic view, live music, and entertainment. This apres-ski bar will steal your heart.  They offer delicious food and a compelling drink menu that will leave you wanting to return. Truffle pig is located at the base of the mountain right beside the ski area.

T&T Grill

TNT Grill is the perfect spot after a few laps on Christie peak express or post-ride down the mountain coaster. Stop by to refuel on some hearty soup, a juicy burger, or a light snack and cocktail. Hang out on the large deck, and enjoy the happy hour that’s offered daily out there. You can order and pay in person at the T & T Grill window in gondola Square. T&T Also offers carry-out and to-go options for those who just want to go back to their room and warm-up.

Steamboat Springs is one of the best ski towns in the states. Yampa Valley has some of the best apres ski around.
