Wild West currently offers three packages, with pricing that varies seasonally. Here’s a quick breakdown of the per person price of a hot air balloon ride in Steamboat Springs:

All flights booked through Wild West Balloon Adventure depart in the morning, usually between 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Mornings typically offer better weather and calmer winds than the afternoon or evening. What should I wear on a hot air balloon ride?
We recommend dressing for the weather. Mornings in Steamboat Springs are chilly, even in the summer. Long pants, jackets, gloves, and a hat are recommended. Heavier materials and boots are recommended in the winter. Comfort is key, so make sure you’re warm, cozy, and able to relax during your flight. And don’t forget to bring your camera!
How long does a hot air balloon last?
The entire hot air balloon experience, from orientation to take off and return, lasts between two to two and a half hours. The in-air time ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Is there an age requirement to ride in a hot air balloon?
Yes. Riders must be at least six years old or at least four feet tall in order to see over the basket edge.
How many people can fly at once?
The standard hot air balloon fit up to ten guests in the basket or up to 1,500 pounds. Of course, you are welcome to enjoy a flight as a couple or smaller group.
