This unit was a great value for our group of 7 (3 couples and one 9 year old child.) There was enough room for all of us. Brad was very helpful in making sure we got what we needed, including an air mattress for the child who slept in the loft area.
The only thing you need to be aware of is that this specific unit is almost dead center in the complex and as such is the farthest point from either free bus stop. It is about a quarter of a mile to either stop. Not excessive and only took about 6 minutes to walk in ski boots, but something you might want to consider. That being said, it’s beside the plaza where City Market is located and very close to both City Market, Safeway, Christy Sports, Ski Haus and other shopping locations. We used the Ski Corral at Steamboat base for overnight ski storage at a cost of $5 per night per set of skis/poles which made our trips to/from the mountain very easy. Of course the first and last night one must carry skis/poles as we did not have a car.
Great town, nice people, good skiing. What’s not to like.
