What is Snow Tubing?
Snow tubing is a leisurely family-friendly activity that involves sliding down snow-covered hills in an inflatable inner tube. Think of it like a natural water slide with snow in place of rushing water!
Where Can I Find Snow Tubing in Steamboat Springs?
Located just 15 miles west of Steamboat Springs, Saddleback Ranch is snow tubing central. This genuine Western Ranch serves up warm snacks, hot beverages, and a day full of fun on the Yee-Haw Tubing Hill. The hill is groomed and includes a state of the art tube-tow system that pulls you and your tube back to top.

What Should I Wear/Bring?
Obviously, you should dress as you would for any outdoor activity in the snow. Base layers, waterproof snow gear, snow boots, hats, and gloves are all highly recommended. You are welcome to bring ski helmets to wear if you wish. Saddleback Ranch will not provide any gear for snow tubing aside from the tubes, so please prepare accordingly. No ski boots. No outside sleds or tubes. No outside alcohol. No outside food or drink.
How Much Does Snow Tubing Cost at Saddleback Ranch?
Pricing for all ages is $36 per person for a two-hour session, $30 for 90 minutes, and $22 for one hour. Children under four are free but must ride with a paying adult. If you are tubing for two hours, transportation to and from the ranch is included.
How Do I Get to Saddleback Ranch?
Pick-up and drop-off is at the Gondola Transit Center on Mt. Werner Circle, lanes 1, 2, and 3.. Pick-up times are at 12:30 PM and 3:45 PM daily. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to the Transit Center bus stop as the bus cannot wait for late arrivals. Drive out tubers are welcome daily from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, no reservations required, tubes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for directions.
When is Snow Tubing Available at Saddleback Ranch?
Hours are 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Days of operation vary. Please check the current schedule here once the winter season is in motion.
Any Other Helpful Tips?
Saddleback Ranch also offers the Yee-Haw Tubing and Dinner Sleigh Ride package. This includes a 90-minute tubing session followed by a 30-minute horse drawn sleigh ride to the mountain lodge for dinner. After dinner enjoy roping lessons and dancing! There is a full bar at the lodge as well serving up drinks for purchase. This event is an annual tradition that should be high on your list!
